On the 30th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, this program will present a distinguished panel of speakers with original views seldom offered by the American media. They will represent and discuss the perspectives of Iran, the West and the Arab World. The speakers’ presentation will be followed by a reception featuring delicious hors d’oeuvres and desserts.

    •  The topics that were discussed by the panel were great, and I think very important. Everyone had a different perspective on Iran and this variety gave me some new ways to think about it. The last speaker I felt was fairly propagandish, but she still made some good points.
    •  It was interesting to hear the speakers defend Iran as another victim of US foreign policy, when Iran itself has been doing the same things that the US has been. Iran might not have invaded another country but it has used proxy militias both religious and political to further its influence in the region. Its people are definitely peaceful but its government hasn't done anything peaceful, and its rhetoric isn't helping either. As any other nation in history, Iran's rulers have runout of religious steam and their failure to deliver to its people has forced them to resort to nationalism. Nevertheless, Iran like any other nation has the right to even build nuclear weapons, when all the power players in the world have them and the US actions in the past 8 years have proved that a country with nuclear weapons and the capability to deliver them will be treated with respect and diplomatically, just look at North Korea and India.
