I recently spent 2 years working in Malawi and helped with a water point mapping project. We used GPS and surveys to collect data at 50,000+ rural water points. I'm interested in comparing my experience with others using GIS in development settings
I am a Research Scientist for Research Triangle Insitute in the Washington DC office. I have used GIS for water resource studies for about 16 years, mostly with the USGS and then as a consultant. I am guardedly optimistic about ICT in Development.
After I get more familiar with the group I would like to make a presentation.
