Dear friends,

We are also pleased to announce that Mr. Murtaza Solangi - a renowned VOA Sr. Journalist has returned from a month long of tour of South East Asia. He will be sharing his first hand experiences with us.

Also President of Washington Pakistan Peoples? Party, Dr. Javaid Manzoor has returned from Pakistan. He will share an eye witness account of some important events.

As you already know we have invited Mr. Mushtaq Rajpar, a visiting Sindhi-Pakistani writer, political analyst, and a very ardent supporter of human rights and democracy to share his first hand experiences and recent development is Pakistan. Hopefully we will have 2-3 additional speakers and subject matter experts to appraise us of their first hand experiences and insight into Pakistani events.

On March 22nd, we will have more than two months of post-election to sit back and listen to various friends who had spent quality time in Pakistan during and after the elections. Let us get the eye-witness account of during and post election events as they transpired. I request you to mark your Calendars for Saturday, March 22nd to join -Justice and Democracy in Pakistan Meetup- at Sadaf Halal Restaurant, 1327 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852 at 1:00 PM.

Let us hope the will of people will translate into a step in the right direction establishing justice, democracy, and liberty in Pakistan. We also hope that the new era of ballot power will establish its domain over the run-away power of the barrel and bullets.

Friends, the real work has just begun. We must make sure that a good name of democracy is upheld in letter and spirit. Let us positively impact the lives of people by sharing good ideas and making sure the hope that is rekindled by the blood of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and sacrifices of hundreds and thousands of shaheeds is not diminished to darkness.

1. We must continue our journey to ensure that the supremacy of law and judiciary is restored through restoration of the real Supreme Court under Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.

2. Let us make sure that Musharraf era has come to its natural demise and a dignity of Pakistani State is restored in the presidency of an honorable and respectable individual who holds supremacy of constitution and the law above personal or surrogate interests.

3. Let us bring assassins of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Akbar Khan Bugti, and other politically motivated assassinations to justice. Let us continue pressing for UN probe into assassination of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

4. Let us bring the culprits to justice who killed and conspired in the killings of many innocent participants of May 12th rally in Karachi.

5. Let us continue working hard toward the goal of attaining complete individual and collective dignity and prosperity of 160 million Pakistanis. Let us work together to fight evil forces who promote hate, violence, and carnage in the name of national origin, their ideals, and religion of their personal preference.

I urge you to leave behind your party affiliations and focus on the "Right thing" to do. Let us converge to have a meeting of minds for cause bigger than us.
