DESCRIPTION:Global Development Meetup\n\nFor May's Meetup\, we'll continue 
 our screenings and discussion of the Dollar a Day series\, which focuses on
  reducing poverty. We'll meet at 6pm for informal networking (and snacks!) 
 and then screen the film "The Strongest Link" at 6:30pm\, with discussion t
 o follow led by Michael Bernstein\, Program Coordinator of the HIV/AIDS Mon
 itor at the Center for Global Development.\n\n"The Strongest Link" was film
 ed in the shanty towns of South Africa and shows how Access to Healthcare c
 an make a real difference in the future of a family. Bulewla Cima\, a young
  woman with AIDS seeks to keep the disease from spreading to her unborn chi
 ld. While government healthcare plans are slowly being implemented\, the bo
 undaries of the healthcare system fall far short of the needs in the townsh
 ips and Bulewa courageously works to educate others in the community on AID
 S prevention and counsels other women suffering with the disease. \n\nHope 
 you can join us! Feel free to bring relevant materials to share with the gr
